Wildlife
There are many different types of butterflies and moths here, attracted in part by the abundance of wildflowers.
Lizards are very common, snakes, sloworms, salamanders and geckos may also be seen along with stick insects, praying mantis and scorpions.
There are many wild boar and deer in the area but they are very shy and not easily seen, there are also foxes, badgers, hares, red squirrels, pinemartin, mink, otters and jennets.
Birdwatchers will be kept busy with many rare British birds being common here, there is a huge variety of birdlife, some of which are resident here and some that migrate through. You may see eagles, buzzards, harriers, hawks, falcons and vultures along with hoopoes, golden oriols, beeaters and crested tits.
